Frequently Asked Questions

I sincerely hope you would share the same passion as me!
What made you to start your site?

I was made redundant during the Covid19 lockdown and felt I needed to start a new and challenging project.  And here I am….

I created FB Blogging in 2022 as a place to share my passion.

Can I use your ideas on my blog or website?

I don’t mind sharing my personal blogs, but all I ask is that you credit me and add a link back to my blog.

Do you need to be qualified to start a blog?

I don’t think so. This is the beauty of blogging, you are judged on your talent, skills and the ability of creating something. A lot of hard work, researching, passion and determination.

What is your blog about?

Food, art, poetry and sewing.

Food

I have no formal culinary training, just self-taught.  I have always collected different cuisine recipes.  Enjoy preparing it for my loved ones and love getting their reviews.  If a recipe does not turn out the way I want, I keep trying until I get it right!

Cooking is all about sharing good food!  I will occasionally use other people’s recipes on my blog, whether it’s a recipe from my mum, my favourite chef or a blog.

Sewing

I learnt how to sew from my mum, grandmother, and an enthusiastic teacher.  Since my childhood, I have enjoyed making my dresses and for friends and family members too. When it comes to fashion it is key to make it your own style. Now it is my turn to share it with you.

Art

Becoming a professional artist is a lifelong journey – but if you are making art, you are already an artist! It is never too late to learn, to be one. Though having qualifications eases the challenge, but being creative and able to express yourself through art in such a way that other people can understand and appreciate. I first started painting on canvas in 2002 and still keep trying.

Poetry

I am not a poet by any means – but my mother loves writing Urdu poetry.  Her poems would often talk about feelings. Over a decade I have been listening and reading her collection of poetry, and it is her influence that makes me want to show my gratitude and admiration for her poems; built on her memories and faith.
