Cassava Chips Roasted

I sincerely hope you would share the same passion as me!

Cassava is an East African root vegetable.

It has a starchy and nutty-flavour, a substitute for fried chips or oven roasted.

Step No 1
  • 300gm Frozen Cassava
  • Large pinch of Salt
  • Large pinch of Paprika Powder
  • Water for boiling
  • Olive Oil
Step No 2

Parboil the cassava for 10 – 12 minutes.

Step No 3

Drain any access water and rest to cool down.  Slice into chip shaped pieces and spread the chips in a lined baking tray.

Step No 4

Coat the chips with generous amount of oil and brush the oil gently over the chips.  Sprinkle some salt and paprika powder over the chips.

Pre-heat the oven at 1800C /Fan.

Step No 5

Bake for 20-25 minutes until crispy and golden brown.  Turn the chips over to ensure they are evenly browned.

Ready to serve.
