My Story
I was born and grew up in Tanzania, East Africa. Moved to the UK in the late ’70s. Happily married and living in Leicestershire.
I am a food, art and sewing lover! I love to learn new things by making great food, love to design and sew garments and paint.
Food
I first learned about food from the best home cooks in the world, my mother and grandmother’s East African and Asian food and my husband, therefore my cooking includes English, Pakistani, Italian and East African influences.
Painting
I love to draw and paint, mainly acrylic painting on canvas. The starting point for me was in 2002 when I first tried to draw and paint on canvas, and have been trying ever since.
Sewing
I started my sewing blog after I recently retired. I have been sewing for as long as I can remember. I know that when you love sewing, all you need is a little bit of time, now and again to make something. I hope I can inspire you and help you turn your ideas into reality. Your style and the clothes you wear affect both your mood and your confidence. So let’s get creative!
