SRIRACHA CHICKEN

Oven cooked chicken pieces, marinated in sriracha sauce, served with chips.

Sriracha is hot and tangy sauce made from chilies, vinegar, garlic, sugar and salt.

Ingredients
  • 20-25 Chicken Pieces
  • 30ml Honey
  • 100ml Sriracha Sauce
  • 100gm Sesame Seeds
  • 50ml Oil
  • 20gm Corn Flour
  • 8gm Ground Ginger
  • 6gm Smoked Paprika
  • 10gm Salt
Step No 1

Place the chicken in a large bowl and pour in sriracha sauce, honey and half of the oil.

Sprinkle the corn flour, paprika and salt.

Mix together thoroughly.

Step No 2

To infuse with flavour, wrap the bowl with Clingfilm and chill for 3 to 4 hours or overnight if you prefer.

Step No 3

Remove the chicken from the fridge and discard the Clingfilm.

Sprinkle roasted sesame seeds and mix together.

Step No 4

Tip the chicken into a lined roasting tray.

Step No 5

Pour the rest of the oil over the chicken.

Roast in a preheated oven at 200C/Fan, for 30 minutes.

Step No 6

After 30 minutes remove the tray from the oven and turn the chicken pieces over and roast for a further 15 to 20 minutes

Step No 7

Roast until golden brown and crisp.

Step No 8

Serve with chips or with a dip of your choice.
