Eaten as a snack or as a starter.
Ingredients
- 1kg Beef Mince
-
1kg Chicken Mince
-
2 Onions
-
1-2 Peppers
-
2 Potatoes: Peeled, Boiled & Mashed
-
100gm Dried Bread Crumbs (or fresh)
-
Teaspoon Ginger Puree
-
Teaspoon Garlic Puree
-
Teaspoon Salt
-
Teaspoon Coriander Powder
-
Teaspoon Cumin Powder
-
Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
-
Fresh Chopped Coriander Leaves
Step No 1
Peel and boil the potatoes until soft.
Drain the access water and mash.
Set aside to cool.
Mashed potatoes gives the kebabs a tender texture.
Step No 2
In the meantime, blitz together the onions and peppers to a thick pulp.
Step No 3
Add the beef and chicken mince in a bowl and mix them together.
Step No 4
Complement the mixture with ginger and garlic puree, add onion and pepper pulp.
Sprinkle the salt, spices and dried bread crumbs.
Finally add the mashed potatoes and fresh chopped coriander leaves.
Combine all the ingredients until it holds together.
Step No 5
To make the burgers, grease your hands with oil.
Divide the mince into 30, palm size portions and roll each portion into a ball.
Then flatten each ball by squeezing down to flatten into burgers, about ¼ of an inch thick.
Ensure all the burgers are the same thickness so they cook evenly.
Step No 6
Shallow fry the burgers for 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
Step No 7
Fry until they have browned on both sides.
Step No 8
Served with a garnish or a dipping sauce of your choice.
